FXPHD Stereoscopic 3D – 102 class2. Which glasses?

Hi,
I\’m working on the fxphd Nuk102 class and lesson 2 is all about \’stereoscopic\’ 3d, yet the tutor says at the beginning of the video \”…if you guys have your RED & GREEN stereoscopic glasses, I\’d certainly recommend them…\”

So I\’m confused. I thought red & green glasses were anaglyph? I thought stereoscopic required a certain type of screen and active glasses setup etc?

I am, admittedly, inexperienced in 3D editing/compositing. So the idea of diving right in really excites me, but equally, I don\’t think I\’ve got the right setup?
Just to clarify, I\’ve got a unibody 2.4ghz corei5 MacBook Pro with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M.

Any advice would be awesome.
