OK,
blackpoint – remaps whatever value you select to 0
whitepoint – remaps whatever value you select to 1
lift – remaps your new blackpoint to a new chosen value
gain – remaps your new whitepoint to a new chosen value
multiply, offset and gamma – are then used to apply color correction.
equivalent in shake would be
blackpoint/whitepoint = expand
lift/gain = compress
multiply/offset/gamma = multiply/add/gamma
but all in one node. so pretty sweet.
