Hey, yet another thing!
What if i sould buy a new one… what is the prize for Octane2 v12 and Tezro?
i know it depends on the hardware but for a flint/flame ready machine?
(1gb ram 2/4x cpu’s)December 13, 2004 at 11:59 am #208918AnonymousInactiveThere’s no point buying a tezro if you want Flame of Flint. It comes as a whole system. You cannot buy the software on its own.
I thought someone already explained this !?!

I am studying, and making a report about Compositing on FFI and SGI Machines and that is why I ask those ridicule questions!I just want to know how much the machines cost if you buy them separately (you know, a standard Tezro and Octane2 v12 with all needed for running flame [not an overpowered machine with fairly render time]) ❓
December 13, 2004 at 4:41 pm #208917AnonymousInactiveexpect to pay $20,000 for an sgi tezro. Octane2’s ceased production earlier this year. Also budget at least $1000 a year for support. If you are nice I’m sure they will give you a crate of wine when you complete your order! Do not bother with sgi unless you have real reasons to justify the cost. Owning one is like owning a Bentley Continental.
