❓ I just recently bought a canon 514 X-L from Ebay. I got also a boommic and some accessories to go with it for under $150. My question is, is there any other accessories that I can get ot go with it? Or can should I spend the money and buy all brand new accessories? 😕
    PLEASE HELP ME!!!

    Hello:

Congrats on you camcorder… Although I don’t really know why you are sharing this info here at the Combustion forum… Are you going to use it with Combustion??? Do you have combustion?

Look: You should buy the accessories that you need… The most typical ENG Kit (that stands for Electronic News gathering) includes:

    1) A quality fluid-head tripod (perhaps with wheels) Handheld works OK for the BlairWitch Project: Real Pros use tripods!
    2) An audio mixer: to adjust levels and mix multiple microphones, such as your new boom mic, a handheld, and/or a shotgun mic – ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
    3) a couple of qulaity wireless mics: To allow you to be more portable and not worry about tripping over cables. Makes interviews easily too.
    4) A basic three point light kit: Lighting is essential to good video: you can’t shoot in the dark!

    That’s is a good start….

    have fun, and good luck,

    JACK
