I’ve been involved with film making and post production for a few years now (hard to believe) but i’m still kind of green because i’ve had other things as a priority. I just bought the Canon Vixia HF200 to discover my computer was vastly inadequate to deal with footage of its calibur. So i’m buying a new computer and I have a friend to help me build it. I was wondering if anyone could recommend parts which would allow me to not only see the video, but work fluidly with it in After Effects (thats really the big thing, i need it to be fluid and get good playback in after effects). My budget is around $800, but that’s plus or minus about a hundred. I just want a good desktop to work with the footage lol.
