    Hello,

I am currently using Nuke 7 & have come across an issue when comping my shot. I am comping a giant wall in the background behind some trees.

I have 3D Tracked the scene and placed the wall render on a card and keyed out the sky on my plate.

The question I have is if I wanted to put an extra layer of trees behind the current trees how can I do this? I want to use the trees already there but roto them out (with the key’s alpha data) and put them on a card just behind the current tree line.

How would I go about doing this? I have been racking my brains for days.

    Regards
    Luke

well, i don’t know what do u mean about this.. but if the giant wall there on the back of the trees is a 3d that u comped it your self. then, u must have the trees alpha channel. So,

u could premultiply the RGB by the alpha channel to have a second seperate tree pass then put the trees on a card and use the 3d track scene that u did. render it with scanline, on 2D> merge the trees with an “UNDER” operation with the main (untouched) “trees” which contains the alpha channel. then with the two of the “tree” passes together u could merge this pass on top of the wall.. try it? or let me know more of this..
