Hi, I’m REALLY new to this so bear w/ me.. sorry if i’m really out of place here and talking about something way off your subject.
I’m a junior in high school and am seriously considering a job in this field. I’ve been searching for for a few things but cant find any answers, so I figured I would join this forum so I could directly ask somebody.
Is there any computer animation programs out there to buy similar to DoGA? I’m not sure if any of you are familiar w/ it, but heres there website http://www.doga.co.jp/english/
Anyway, I’ve been working with that for a while and have been looking for a program a little more advanced. Could anyone set me in the right direction?Again, sorry if this is a crazy question and am in the complelty wrong place.

sorry, i’m not aware that there is something similar. frankly, i’ve not even heard of this program before. but that shouldn’t be a problem. if you want to persue a job in the 3d industry you did a first step. if you want to go further i would advice you to download a evaluation program of any or all of the big 3d programs. it doesn’t matter much if you go further with maya, xsi, 3dsmax, lightwave, cinema4d, whatever. maya and xsi are widely used in the movie industry, 3dsmax in the game and viz industry.
imho, it would be good to have a general idea of all programs. then you realize, if you are somewhat open minded, that a lot is functioning alike.
if you try them, you’ll feel sooner or later which you like and what you like, be it modeling, animation, rendering…good luck,
