Okay, I want to add grain to an action module inside batch.
Starting with the very basics;
Add an action node.
Load the action setup I had.
In the action module within batch, hold ctl and click on a layer. I now have the image I want to add the grain to.So I drag on a regrain node, unattach the image from the layer node.
Attach the regrain node with the front and matte in. I now bump up the grain.
Then I connect the out of the yellow to the red of the layer which connects to the action node.
Something is not right, when I see the action result or output result, I get no grain.
Can someone lay out the steps very clearly, indicating which colors go where, I am not experienced in batch at all. Thanks.

I usually put one regrain only at the end of my comp, using mattes if I need to restrict it to an area. I never use on a layer. Also keep in mind if you grain the image on the layer and resize that layer you will have resized grain.
Hope that helps. Batch is your friend.
