    To all concerned folks:

I am an instructor at the Art Institute of California – Orange County, where I teach 3ds max and combustion. I am trying to expose our Game Art and Design and Animation students to real world workflow and production pipelines as much as possible. My emphasis has been on early integration of compositing into the workflow, using the 3ds/max combustion toolset, and also Maya/combustion and eventually Maya/Shake. We also teach After Effects, FCP, and Premiere, and a solid grounding in traditional art. Our school is, however, a desk top based environment, using both Mac and PC machines. What I would like to ask of any willing parties out there, is this: What hardware and software comprises your off- and on-line pipeline, and where does the off-line/on-line divison occur? Any thoughts are welcome. Thx.
