    Is it a good practice when you comping 3D renders or any king of CG material, to do the divide on the desktop and just get rid of the original? Is there an option to import and do the divide when you importing?

    There is no divide option on import (I have heard that discussed before as an idea). You could just do the divide on desktop if you like, I tend to just do everything in batch.
