Do you want to do it in still image or do you want to do it in live action footages? if you just want to do it in still image,you can do it pretty easy in photoshop and i can
post a link to a tutorial for that.but if you want to do it in live action footage,you need to do motion capture(rotomation at least) and particle/fluid simulation i guess.http://www.hxsd.com/tutorial/pingmiansheji/20100804/28858.html
here is the tutorial for the effect and you may notice that it is in chinese.if you wish,i can do a translation for you.I’d love a translation, even something brief just outlining the effects and transfer modes.
