its not about career and pay scale..its about being passionate about this work..its about loving fx, compositing etc ..if u work only for money how does your creativity, if any, show up and more importantly develop?

    hi..
do you think flame will boom your career and your payscale as well!

    i dont think so 🙁

I don’t think this was the question. Nevertheless, Mr Optimism, while knowledge of FFI alone won’t necessarily land you a job, the lack of it might prevent you from getting a job you might otherwise be qualified for.

Furthermore, everyone in every industry has the right to pursue the most profitable position available to them, which is completely unrelated to whether you love your work or not.

Many people become Doctors, as the compensation is generally very good. Some people leave medicine, as the compensation does not outweigh the stress and frustration of the practice.

In the VFX world, I would strongly recommend that you are very passionate about the craft. Otherwise after a short time, you will find yourself in the conundrum much like the field of medicine.

I don’t mean to say that one should choose their field based solely on the pay. I mean that it is perfectly reasonable to be ambitious in your own field. I should have been more specific.
