Really just wanted to say thanks to Ron for updating the “Good book of Brinkmann”
The original has served me well for years.
Just cracking into this edition now, as it has just arrived.

I do wish the cover could have been the old one as it had history and a purpose.
No sense trying to talk sense to Marketing people I suppose.

For any one who works in this industry weather you are a compositor or not this is required reading.

Quick follow-up of congrats to Ron on his 2nd edition. I’m only at chapter 3 at this point so can’t add too much of interest yet, though i will say printing the book in full color is looking nice and very helpful!

Yeah, the cover bums me out more than a little bit. Particularly since the background image, which is the ‘old’ cover image, was printed so dark that you can’t even see any of the detail. Grr.

    Thanks for posting!

    Hi Ron,

Gotta say this is a great idea. Really glad to have the chance to discuss things and ask questions about the book. gotta crack open a copy and start assembling my list. Thanks for doing this !

    Cheers,

    Tahl.

i totally agree…the old cover was as good as the information inside the book…the new cover kills the books identity.
