how can we stablize a big doly and pan shot……. i tracked and stablized alright, but combustion has a tendency treating the camera as lockup, and moving the image all over the place…. how can you stablized a jittering crazy pan and dolly shot? would someone help me figure out this problem? thank you very very much!!

    Hi,

You would proceed to stabilise the shot as you have done. So a point in the frame remains in the same place constantly and the rest of the image moves within the frame.

Select the stabliser point and go to the timeline in graph mode. Select the X and Y postion keyframes. Select math operations and choose the option, “Remove Jitter”. You will have a value with which you can reduce the shifting or bumpiness by a few pixels or so. You need to experiment with it to achieve a decent result.

    Good Luck

Assuming the module is same as FFI I would like to point that value is the frame range which the remove jitter is applied. So if you see a curve that has a rough period of say 10 frames then enter this value in that box.

    Cheers
