I’m a color manager located in Chicago working for an ad agency that handles print, broadcast, web, outdoor, etc. I work primarily in print, but I’ve heard ICC color management is beginning to happen in broadcast/film with Arri CMS and others. Keep in mind, I’m talking through my hat – I’ve only heard bits and pieces about this, but at the last annual Color Conference in Scottsdale, this was mentioned as a new development in color tech.
I am curious to hear if anyone is color managing (not just color correcting) for broadcast/film. I found this forum in a search – if you know of a better forum, please let me know that too. Especially interested in hearing from fellow Chicagoland color managers.

Color management in Film is still young, essentially because the chain is quite complex and moving and on the other side the computing power needed to process complex profile on hi definition pictures has just been available for a few months. There are a few products available to do profiles, Cinespace from Rising Sun and KDM from Kodak, Arri is also doing things but there is no real industry standard like ICC.
