importing edl

    Hi all,
    does any body know how to online an edl on combustion or how to import an edl so as to arrive in the workspace as different clips and transitions on the time line ie. as seperate layers .

    no way

    it’s impossible to do such thing in combustion, because it just can’t digitize (and have no TimeCode support).
    If you really want to achieve that, there is a plug in which do that (i know it works with AE, so should work with C* …) called Automatic Duck.
    This plug export your Final Cut or Avid timeline in AE, with dissolves, handles, etc…

    But does it work with C*??? ….

    It does. There is a C* version of the software, hence it’s called ‘Pro Import C3’, now at v1.01.
