Hi there,
I really really want to start working with Flame. Can anyone tell me if becoming a ‘Runner’ or assistant at a post production house is the only way into the industry? Would it be silly for me to spend $7000 to do training for a week in hopes of pursuing my goal? Thanks for any advice!!!

July 27, 2002 at 7:22 pm #206609AnonymousGuestHi thanks for your advice. Though i will ask why Cyborg?
July 28, 2002 at 3:16 am #206610AnonymousGuest Cyborg has the real time tools that you want as an artist, that you can’t get even on an Inferno. It’s withouth doubt the best price-performance system outhere and their code is something brand new compare to the ten years spaghetti code that you have on DL.
Also, check out the market for Cyborg free-lancers..there are not many and they are selling it fast.
I suggest that the first thing you must do is have a demo. Where are you base these days?July 28, 2002 at 12:26 pm #206611AnonymousGuestI’m based outside of London in the UK about 1.5 hours.
July 28, 2002 at 6:03 pm #206612AnonymousGuestyou should try the 5D office in London. they have free training to become Cyborg free-lancers for free once a month. You can get the phones from the web. http://www.five-d.com
Go for it and i would love to hear your opinion about what you saw there. -
