I never have worked with Inferno but i use to work with Flame. When i work in a 2k project, Flame is a bit slow (i have an Octane 2) and i,d like to know if the processing and workflow speed working with Inferno is as different as people say or are similar. Is the Inferno,s price justified?
Can Inferno playback 2k images at full resolution, or playback only the proxies like Flame?

What type of stonefs system are you using? I’ve used an inferno with a very nice fiber stone array, and it was playing back 2k fulll frame at 20fps.. Enough to see if things are going together. After using both inferno and flame, I really liked the inferno I was on, but it was of course, top of the line. It was definitely much quicker than the flame I was on, I was able to put more layers into comps. I did test drive an Octane 2 with flameHD, and that was wicked fast as well, much faster than the flame on Octane that I was on previous.. Is that the system you are using, or just an Octane 2 with no HD card?
