Hey guys, i am still trying to get my flame up and running. My problem now is that when i install irix (seems to install fine, no errors or nothing), i dont get the mediad program installed, so i cant mount anything irix. How can i install mediad after installing irix??
You should still be able to mount things without mediad by hand, with mount in a shell, but it’s good to have around even if Flame does disable it 😉 It’s on the Irix 6.5 Foundation 1 CD, so if you use Software Manager and feed it that and the latest Overlay CDs, you should be able to install it. The short names for the packages are eoe.sw.cdrom and eoe.sw.rm_media, but they should have sensible human readable names in the Customize Installation tab somewhere… good luck 🙂
