is nvidia quadro really required for shake 3 linux?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to get a radeon 9200 128mb to work with shake 3 / red hat 9??? I got redhat 9 and shake installed, i launched shake and the gui didnt draw on the screen…. is there any configurating that may be possible to get this setup to work? Or will shake ONLY work with the nvidia quadro cards?

ive seen shake run on non quadro cards.

they were nvidia..

I will try the 9800 pro to see what is up, and message you back.
