Devastudios is seeking an IT technician to support our creative and production teams at our studio in Santa Monica, CA. Our work consists of high end 3D and 2D graphics for movie trailers, feature main titles, video game trailers and broadcast design.
Ideal candidate will have experience providing IT support to visual effects or motion graphics facilities with significant software and hardware infrastructure.
Duties include:
-Manage and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on user workstations running Mac OS
-Maintain and optimize a Windows-based render farm
-Monitor, diagnose and resolve issues with network, Isolon clustered storage servers, and software license servers
-Assisting with other IT/technical infrastructure issues such as power, cabling, phone & camera systems, server room organization
-Proactively monitor and manage multiple backup systems
-Support artists in submitting jobs to the render farm, and monitor jobs during render to identify and resolve failing or problematic jobs.
Qualifications:
– Knowledge and experience with networks
-2+ years of experience in render farm maintenance
Candidates with knowledge of Maya, AfterEffects, Nuke, Deadline and Python/Bash scripting are preferred.
This is a full time position with benefits.
