Just was sitting around and Titanic was on. I just cant get over the fact that when the ship is going down the people sliding downward on the ship, how obvious and in sight the dollies were. I mean they were so exposed, it just really killed the flix for me. Was anyone aware of this when in production. Jezzzzz!

yeah, sometimes production makes mistakes 🙂April 8, 2006 at 2:14 pm #212362Saran SirikasamsapParticipantwhat i find most irritating is when lazy DOP’s use high speed film for all their blue/green screens…cos they barely have to adjust any lights!!!!

If you’re shooting a blue/greenscreen for a sequence and then shoot said shots with a stock that may be good for keying, but look different to the rest of the sequence, then that is the reason why, it’s also the reason why many blue/greenscreen shots are now being roto’d.

I’ve been working in tvc and broadcast for a while in a Post house (china), now i’m a freelancer and its even worst coz i’m now using only after effect so its sometime a nightmare with rendering time.
But to be honest, this situation develop some different skills, its not all bad.April 10, 2006 at 2:50 am #212360Saran SirikasamsapParticipantha ha …well i guess new tools come out sometimes cos of shoot related problems eh?

Yeah, sure there are still some idiots out there, but TRUST ME, it’s not that simple.
