    Hi,

I’m currently doing the post on a film shot with a Panasonic camera that records into P2 drives. The native XMF files were converted into ProRes 422 QT in Final Cut. I’m currently keying some shots (in ProRes 422) and I’m seeing quite a lot of artifacts/ heavy pixelization. Have you encountered this problem before with ProRes422 or do you think it’s probably because of the P2 compression?

    Thank you

I’d say it’s the DVCProHD codec the P2 camera used to record.
I’ve used ProRes QT sourced from RED and they were fine.

    hth,

    B
