I really like the feature of making a keyer, then loading it as a selection to manipulate other op’s…..however, its not quite working for me.
I see the ‘load as selection’ area in the keyer op but it doesn’t seem to be loading anything as a selection in the viewer. Is there something else I need to be doing? Placing a load channel selection op?
Thank you

Just go to the “setup” section of the keyer and push ” selection” under “output matte as” in the upper right corner. After that keyer creates selection instead of transparency and you should see the marquee. Then you should apply a new operator to the keyer and it will only work in the keyed out area.
This way you can use combo of keyer/ cc for secondary color correction, keyer/blur to selectively blur skin tones, etc, etc …

at least, i hope that is what you are refering to.
if you want the output of the keyer to become a selection, you go to output -> “output matte as” selection.
it works, you just don’t see a marquee. put a cc in tp of the keyer and make same changes, you’ll see the selection works. if you want to see a marquee, just put a selection op in top of the keyer.
hint: if you would like to make some boolean operation, like adding or subtracting, with the keyer output selection and the selection ops, you should have the keyer beneath the selection.best,
