keying out of focus things

Hi all,

I have to key a shot with very little dof and there is a talent out of focus in the background.
Could you please give me some tips how to get the best key?

You need to create two mattes, one for the sharp guy and one for the blurred one. If the talent in focus is over the blurred one you’ll need to do some roto where the guys intersect.
Apply a lot of shrink and blur to the matte of the out of focus talent and keep the other one nice and clean. You can do this using two layers in Action or all at once in Modular Keyer.
