light reflection on black image surface

I applied a light (add light) to an action file of images with a black fill.
I.E., layer, fill=black, add matte, add image etc.

The light does not show up on the image, but the icon is in the scematic and when I change the image to white, I see the light reflected.
is this clearer?

Can you show me the light?

Im not sure i understand your question right.
You dont see the light as in not seeing the light icon or as not seeing the light ‘reflect’ in the image??

if you using just black solid, you will not see the ligth, but you can see reflection of other objects.
of cause if you change your solid to white you will be able to see reflection of light.
