Hello there,
Is there another way to match grain besides from the regrain tool?
Or is this the best way?thanks

I usually set the channels individually, for example viewing the Red channel only while setting the red size and amount, then doing they other two colors. It’s easier to see what you are doing this way. I sometimes use the custom mode to match but usually just dial it in manually.

What I am describing is when working in batch, in the view menu there is a viewing section with an exclusive button with a choice of R,G,or B. With exclusive turned on you see a mono view of your regrain node for each selected color and one at a time you can dial in the grain size and gain to match between inside a matte and outside. There are hot keys for R,G and B too that I usually can’t recall and hit by mistake way too often.
If you are doing regrain on the desktop there is an exclusive button and RGB options right in the regrain settings.

The default hotkeys in batch are:
SHIFT+R for red
SHIFT+G for green
SHIFT+B for blue
SHIFT+Z for RGB
SHIFT+X for exclusive mask -
