Hi,
I’m currently in the process of making a short drama set in a post-apocalyptic world.
My location already looks pretty post-apocalyptic (see image below)But I would like to expand the set (especially on the long shots), by adding more post-apocalyptical elements in the far background.
So I guess I’m looking for a Matte Painter and a Compositor (or someone that knows how to do both)
Unfortunately (and you’ve probably heard this 1000 times) it is unpaid.
So it would be for reel material, and credit (I can actually guarantee an IMDb credit)
I also plan to send it to festivals like my previous film, so it could be a great opportunity to get your work seen.If you’re curious about my work, here is my previous film ‘Fifty Pence‘

(if you don’t have 13 mins to spare, here’s the 1min teaser – http://vimeo.com/33811915)Also, here is a qucik mood board of this short film, which is called ‘HOLD‘

Also, (what I’m about to say is going to be quite parodoxal, and I apologize for this) if you e-mail me, I would love to see some of ur work, or reel, or anything visual
(chances are the terms that you will use in your cv might be beyond my understanding of VFX, and the only way for me to work out if you’re who I’m looking for, is to actually ‘see’ what you can do)I’d also like to hear from some of you about the Do’s and Don’ts of filming for digital set extension (not sure if this is the proper term)
– Is there a specific resolution needed?
– Specific framing?
– Avoid clutter in shot, maybe?
I’d like to know anything I can do to make it easy for my potential Matte Painter/Compositor to do a great job.Looking forward to hear from some of you
Thanks 😀
