Hi all.

I am planning my NAB trip for this year, and was wondering if anybody could recommend any specific confrences or events to attend. I am a smoke artist thats been to NAB once, but only to the exhibits. Im assuming that fxguide live will not be around this year? And, does Autodesk have a user group meeting? Thanks.

Yes that is correct – fxguide live will be a web thing this year.

Re other things, – there will be a smoke master class being put on by discreet most likely that might be interesting, details should be appearing soon, but I suspect it will be Sunday before the user group meeting.

The NAB has courses – but generally more FCP and podcasting stuff – that runs Sat – Wed I think.

My strategy would be to contact the companies you want to see and ask for a booking for a private sit down session – rather than just walking around randomly at the show.

So there won’t be an FX Guide Live seminar at NAB?

Would anyone have any suggestions of things to attend?
I’ve never been to NAB and I’ve only been a Flame artist for about 9months or so.

Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
