No WireTap in c4 Mac?

We waited and waited… now we finally have Combustion 4 for Mac. But now I’m hearing from my artist that there is no WireTap in the Mac version to access our Flame and Smoke framestores. What is going on? This feature was promoted big-time at NAB last year, so we waited all this time, and no WireTap? Is my artist correct? If so, does anyone know a good, functional workaround?

if you go to file > open

and check the very top level of options, is wiretap there?
