Hi,

Is there a spark out there that will detect shot changes in a timeline and add edits? Helpful when trying to hand off an EDL to the color correction folks.

Never heard of a spark like this, I doubt a spark would even be able to add edits to a timeline.

If it’s worth the effort, you could export to a DV Quicktime (with embedded TC) and run that through this program:

Didn’t try myself, but it should be able to do an EDL for you.

why not just export an EDL of your timeline/clip. That option is available via the Library.

thanks for your responses. that’s what we currently do.
was interested in seeing if autodesk had built something what the lustre has for shot detection into smoke – an odd feature for an editing application I know!
