    Hi Nukers,

I got a 2d layout made in photoshop.
There are 8 layers in the .psd file.
When I import the .psd file into Nuke, I can see all my layers in the channels browser. Fine.

I want to use the .psd layout as a “background” and be able to get rid of a layer or swap it with a different image.

I tried “remove channel” “shuffle copy” and none of those seem to work.

    Thanks,
    Alfafa

use the Shuffle node. Pick the layer you want to use from the in1 drop down and check r,g,b and a. you may to wan to premult afterwards to get predictable results !

    Thanks Aneks,

I try with the shuffle node but it’s not working for want I want.

Let me explain it again :

    I have a photoshop layout with 8 layers ( scene.psd ).

With a “read” node I import “scene.psd” in Nuke.

I use another “read’ node to import another image ( sun.tiff )

    I want to swap layer 3 ( which is a place holder ) of “scene.psd” wiht “sun.tiff”.

    I hope it’s clear,
    A thanks again,
    Alfafa

Thanks Woodybrando, that’s exactly what I’m talking about.
    Alfafa,

    P.S. :
I think that’s what you meant Aneks, but I needed some visuals to help my eyes, lol.
    Cheers

cool, glad it helped alfalfa. I got flamed a bit over in vfxtalk for my sloppy style. So it’s encouraging to know the tutorial still works.
