    Hi,

We have been doing some roto bezier stuff in Nuke and rendering them out and importing into Flame. The beziers seem to be very shape on the edge ie. not anti aliased enough and appear jaggy. Playing with the falloff and blur type doesn’t really help and blurring slightly isn’t really the best solution. Doing a similar mask in Flame gives expected smooth results.

Has anyone else experience this? Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Marco

Never, and never seen anything close to that.

What do you mean by “very shape”

    Sharp?

In what format are you rendering them?

Are you rendering only the matte or the whole RGBA?

If so, is this premultiplied or not?

Are you dealing with these files in the correct way in Flame?

I don’t know but it sounds like a premult/unmult issue.

doing lots of Nuke roto here and the moment and finding it just fine. Maybe they are clipping the data too harshly going down to 8bit video in to flame rather than the 32bit nominated colour space in Nuke.
