**Please keep in mind, I am just starting to learn this software. ** I am trying to work with the “x35” plane footage(gnomon-dvd) in the OpenEXR format. It has all the passes and channels in the ONE file.

What I am not sure is…How do you take just the one input EXR node and the start to seperate/ comp(layer) all the passes in Nuke; like comping the spec and reflec pass over color etc. (All with just one node)

What is the method of taking; for example, the reflec. pass within this file and comping it over itself(color) info. , etc.? Thanks for the assistance!

You don’t actually have to ‘branch’ all the passes, you can merge and perform almost all the operations from the same reader (pipe) by just selecting the desired layers from the dropdowns and set to which layer you like to output to working in a more ‘inline’ way. But since this may get really messy in some cases you can ‘branch’ them using the Shuffle operator.

Just add a Shuffle set the input layer on the “in 1” dropdown and then to what layer you want to output to in the “out 1” dropdown.

    I hope it helps.

    Cheers,
