i would do that by adding another axis – would be flame style

doubt you can do that. you wanna do stencil layer from combustion right? you will have to get your layer in a reaction and after that grab your alpha with a “set alpha”.

    hope that helps,

    Hi Nanuk,

Thanks a lot for your help, I will try that, and yes!… I am switching for Combustion to Toxic.

    Cheers!!

    hi luis,

when you come from combustion try to lose abit this layer thinking. i know it is kinda hard switching this in your way of thinking. you have layers in toxik as well, but it is not the main concept of bringing stuff together. try to think more in channels and single operation which you wanna do and then: do i really need a “layer” (layer/timeline) for this? reaction and paint (as you can use it as a photoshop way compositing) can be good to gather alot of footage. but they dont have to!
cool to see another cmb guy getting intoxikated. 🙂

    cheers,

you can work with 2d layers via paint node, 3d layers via reaction, or just with nodes and no layers at all via composite ops toolset. to set the alpha for anything anywhere, use a set alpha tool found in “alpha” category
