I am doing a simple 2D comp. I have a still image with with a mask added to reveal a Solid Layer with a particle operator added.

Everything works with the exception of the particle layer being clipped at the top of frame. 20% of the top of the particle layer is missing.

To get around this I tried starting from scratch & building & rendering just the particle layer. The same problem happens. I am clueless as to why this is happening, any suggestions?

    I am running Ver 4.0.0.288

    hi,

there is a bug wih c* particles. clippling will appear when the layer is larger than 1000px in either x or y direction.
depending on your project you can bypass this bug, bei either using a layer which is smaller than 1000px, or by creating a secondry branch with a crop of the original layer you want the particles apply to and put it back in top of the original.

    cheers,

The project was on PAL SD, So it was not larger than 1000 pixels.

I am curious if it may be an issue with Vista vs XP? I don’t get the same problem on C4 on XP.

try switching the particle preferences to not use openGL and see if the issue is still there.
