    Hi all,

I’m new to PFTrack and have obviously done something wrong in my setup of the camera.

We shot this with a Canon 60D which, AFAIK, has the same sensor size as an EOS7D: 22.2991X12.54370. A 50mm lens is a “practical” 80mm lens when adjusting for the sensor.

I set up the camera, did an auto track, then a manual (user) track, solved the camera, oriented it, and it tracks… OK. Not stellar, but OK.

The problem is that the z scale of the placement of the markers is waaay to big. (see http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12427365/trackers_off.jpg)

Any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed,

    Spence.

the problem is that the software have not enough data to make a good solving, i suggest you try a planar tracking on that one, maybe mocha is the best solution for you.

if you wanna keep with the pftrack you have 2 options, one you don use autotrack, make yourself some users trackers, in every point that you can, or use the autotrack changing the search mode to Optical flow to see if you get more data out of this video.
    And mask out the guy!!

    cheers!
