Cleveland, Aug. 20, 2008 – Phyx Inc. (private) today announced EVO collection of compositing plugins for Apple Shake. The EVO collection offers 14 powerful new plugins for creating and processing images within Shake:

    AntiAlias
smooth blocky image artifacts of images/renders without excessive blur.

    BlurBlend
an efficient time-saving blur operator gives you the ability to simulate various diffusion filters.

    Deband
raises the effective bit rate of 8 bit, 10 bit, and 12 bit images to 16 bits. Reduces quantizing noise by smoothing gradients, and restores details of DV, HDV, etc..

    Deinterlace
a motion-compensated deinterlacer stable enough to use for motion-tracking purposes.

    GridGen
generates grids for use in Shake. The grids may also be rendered for use in other applications.

    InstantRain
generates and processes simulated rain for use in composites.

    Keyer3d
a functional variant of the 3dKeyer described in Steve Wright’s “Digital Compositing for Film and Video”.

    OldFilm
simulates film damage (noise/grain, gate wobble, yellowing, scratches, and dirt).

    SelectiveDesat
allows you to sample a color range, and control its saturation.

    SelectiveSharpen
sharpens image edge details without amplifying noise/grain, or other artifacts.

    Glow
create unique and powerful glow effects within Shake.

    Techni2strip
simulates the Technicolor 2-strip process first introduced as the Technicolor System 1 Additive Color Projection in 1917.

    TimeAverage
a temporal (time-based) noise reduction processor for Shake.

    UVBlur
may be used to repair DV/HDV/etc (footage with compressed chroma) by smoothing blocky edge artifacts to create cleaner keys.

The EVO collection is priced at $99.95, though Phyx Inc. is offering an introductory FREE OFFER for all 14 plugins.

wow it looks as though you have really gone through and understood some of the tools in the macro cookbook and then re-badged them.

I wonder if it took longer to make the macros or the icons for them ?

    Aneks,

our plugins are not copied from any source. I’m not sure which “macro cookbook” you are referring to, but I am absolutely certain that any resemblance to any of our products is indirect.

Our plugins and macros have taken alot of time to develop properly, regardless of anyone having made anything else in Shake, or any other program.

Please refer to the FAQs page of our site for more information about this.
