Hi Mike / John.
Any chance of a podcast on the effects behind the warner’s forthcoming movie ‘A Scanner Darkly’. The interpolated roto work (over live action) that’s being employed for the film is fairly hardcore, and probably is set to make it one of the summers more interesting releases…
It’d be interesting to find out both what workflow / apps were behind the look, and how they approached the filming in terms of VE supervising. How much was shot as seperate passes on green, and did this vary much from normal green work in terms of lighting and DP approach etc?
