Hi, i’m working on flint 9 (no modular keyer)

What’s the best way to key a shot where people move very fast (motionbluron harmes) with poor light and dark blue screen.

Got a second shot with people and a horse, how can i obatin a fine key of their hair without vibrations .

I know it wil be with multiple passes, perhaps there are tricks with luminance mode, don’t know.

    Waiting for a guru advice

    Hello

try to separate RGB channel and find the best one to get a clean lumakey.

You can also use curve to supress blue in your black and white points.

if your are able to make a clean plate, you can try to extract a matte with difference keyer.

or try to make a hard key and soft your matte whit rsmotion blur.

what format is ? digibeta film hd …

separate rgb in tree layers, you get tree b&w clip whit differente density. Use histogram or lumakey to contrast your clip to extract a matte. This technique work to extract some detail, that not a one shots deal.

Most of the time you have to separate hair, upper body parts and lower body parts in 3 differentes parameter and sometime technique.

For what compagnie do you works ?

    cheers

i have found that desaturating the effects plate and using it to put back edge detail. works well.

mult for dark eges and screen for fine detail such as blond hair. you will have to to create specific mattes for the areas you want to use though. hair, clothes, blurred object, etc. mostly sep the darks from the lights. just like your laundry. if you try to do to much at once you will ruin everything.

    nodes:
    color correct
    gmask
masterkeyer – might lead to pink undies does way to much at once if you are not careful

logic ops – great for subtracting background color from rgb effects plate.

action – to put all the mattes together , especially if you don’t have modular keyer

    peaces
