We hope you like the new site, but being in the biz we know there are going to be bugs.
Post your bugs or comments here. Please note the computer OS version you’re using as well as the version number of your browser.

Couple of problems, both were happening even before the new site change.
Firstly, clicking the “View posts since last visit” instead brings up “No topics or posts met your search criteria”
…and secondly, clicking “Mark all forums read” takes me to a 404 page.
Running XP, Firefox 0.8
Cheers.
September 10, 2004 at 1:32 pm #208701John MontgomeryKeymasterThanks….
I imagine those are part of the forums code. That might take a bit to look into, but I’ll add it to the list. Hopefully I can just upgrade it….

This is what happens when I mouse move over the menusThanks for the bug reports. I’m surprised by Safari, since its my default browser. I’ll look into the Opera bug (and the safari bug) when I get back from travelling.

I know its hard to make sure it works with everything but since someone mentioned it I figured to give a heads up 😀 I have noticed I get somewhat the same effect over at cgtalk.com so however the html is worked I’m sure they are somewhat the same. Anyways thanks for checking into it and dont come back to soon, vactions or traveling around dont come often.

Ok ever since i for the first time entered this site my browser has acted a bit strange when I was zapping through the pagesÂ…
Every time I click on a link (to and other part of this site) it stopsÂ… and the display window goes white and the internet explore goes like this ❓ 😯 WOOOOT
Well it takes about 5 sec before it enters that new page and it is a bit fustratigÂ…
Well I thought that it might be my computer, but after entering the page on survival computers, I can see that itÂ’s not just my computer that goes MuhhhCow
Well all the computers have one thing in common. They are running Windows XP Pro (DK)[Danish]

November 24, 2004 at 6:31 am #208700John MontgomeryKeymasterThanks so much for the info. I’ll look into it. I spent a week earlier this month debugging the site and was amazed how much stuff wasn’t working the way I wanted it to. I much prefer feedback instead of created frustrated web viewers. Please keep any and all comments coming.
As an explanation, I’m a mac user and therefore have used virtual PC (with XP) as the testing point so I may have missed some things. I really did try to test in a variety of browsers — but on some based upon time demands had to simply accept some of them for the time being.
I just ordered a dual proc Dell Xeon machine so I’ll be able to do better web testing (as well as review PC apps and such). Not buying dual Xeon for web browsing. 🙄
February 15, 2005 at 4:03 pm #208708AnonymousInactivei know this site was changed a long time ago now, but ive finally decided that i dont like it. the list of articles with the pictures is big, clunky and wastes space. i know im on fx guide and there is red and white all over the page. so do i really need to see such a large ‘fx’ hovering over each picture? consistency is good for web design, but not when youve got such large icons in such great number.
also, in regards to the three boxes on the top (wire/tips/forums)… the content in them is poorly formatted. for wire/tips, i would just list the topic. kill the intro text. for forum, kill the categories and just list the topic
but yea.. thats all 🙂

Actually, I like the look of the site alot…it’s ten times better than the old one, and I like the categories on the forums page.
February 16, 2005 at 3:26 pm #208698AnonymousGuesthey guys
great website – fantastic. im constantly amazed at your dedication. i’ve been using it for years! one idea that i think would be a great addition is an E theatre that features really amazing FX work. i don’t think it needs some big article to ride with it or anything like that – just straight eyecandy. it could feature spots – music videos – viral stuff -the only prerequisite being super cool visuals. for an example check out:
and look in the upper right corner for “QBN Cinema”
