I am working in an environment with other artists in a animation/post pipeline. We use (in this order) footage-boujou-3ds max-after effects. We are all having different ideas as to what frame rates to work at (29.97, 30, 60) and fields versus frames…..its all becoming confusing.
We are tracking footage in boujou, importing camera into max, doing some animation, exporting TIFFs to AFX, then treated footage is put to tape from there. Someone said to work in MAX at 60 fps since the animation looks better when converted to fields.
Does ANYONE know the best way to work in terms of frames/fields, fps, pulldown, etc…..this is driving me crazy. 😯
