    Hi All!
After several years working as project manager (PM) and software developer in IT-industry I decided to move to CG-industry. I don’t have strong artist-abilities, but I have good background in project management. Therefore I can try to step into new industry as a PM, but before I write my new resume I want to ask knowing people about:

    1) What are common and difference between management of software development and CG/VFX creation projects?
    2) Are there any specific responsibilities of PM in CG-industry?
    3) What kind of specific problem solving employer and team are expecting from PM?
    4) Is it always Agile (SCRUM)?
    5) Can you give me any advice on how to sell myself to employer that newer hire PM before (as I know, in my country having PM in the studio is the exception rather than the rule)

PS. I’m not very new to CG – in the past I have made 4 minutes reel with live action actor and CG-environment (XSI + AE) by myself. Nowadays I actively play with Houdini.

    Thanks!
    Sorry for my English 🙂
