Has anyone had any luck projecting onto images with soft cropped edges, and having the projection obey of soft crop?
Take a few white frames, soft crop them (using crop, keyer mask, or soft matte all produce the same result), set them back in Z space, then project an image. The projection does not follow the soft edge, but instead the hard raster edge of the image.
Do the projection with hard edges, render the soft shapes as white on black and multiply the two? Projection is just clever texturing, I don’t think you can do what you want in a single step…
