Hi, It might be a strange Question but i need an advise…
when working on a big project with lots of motion effects done in the editing system the edl give us the option to read it in an FFI app like Flame.
this give us the option to “call” the original clip Tc so we can retime the clip using the FFI Tw features so we can have a good output of motion effects better the ones done in the editing system (lets say Avid which lack of spline curve)
As far as i know in Combustion there is no way to read EDL , the way to transform the time line of the non-linear editing systems is by doing it manualy or using the AutomaticDuck plugin. But that doesnt give us the option to read the original TC of the clip before the motion speed effects was applied so if we use that, than we get the Referance clip after the motion was made.(this give us the clips with the output of the motion done in Avid.) so in order to recreate the motion clip in combustion like it was done in the Avid i couldnt find a way unless taking the in/out TC of motion clip export it and make the TW in combustion. (make the right duration etc…)
thats ok for few clips but its time consuming for a big project with many motin effects.
What is the way to do it if you want all the motion effects to be created in combustion for the final outpu,t and not use the one created in the avid? did i miss something or this is the only way?

cheers nanuk
