Did you do the rig in Maya or 3DS? The rig was my favorite part of the whole thing. Extremely creative. I was workin’ on a rig that had a different application (body suit) but unfolded in a similar fashion. How long did that take you to build and rig (not animate)?
I noticed in your breakdowns that there were a few shots that weren’t in the trailer which is understandable, but are you planning on releasing a long version down the road? It was hard to find that information.
A couple things I noticed that took my focus away (and take this with a huge grain of salt because your work is incredible and more than I can certainly do!). The water shots were good, but it seemed like the text should have blended differently. Perhaps almost having a gradient map of sorts vertically to have the light hitting the tops of the letters and then turning more silhouetted towards the bottom would make more sense? Then the fluid dynamics after the window shatter didn’t really seem to fit to me. It looked great, but seemed strange that dust or wisps would come from that.
Lastly I love your site layout and color. One thing that I saw in the video was the ship “unraveling” in that motion graphics / red style. I would put that on the site loader because it’s sick!
Absolutely great job man! Can’t wait to see the next pieces you do!

nice work, few things that i think problematic
shot 1 – water looks VERY CG – you have well done move after but first impression is taking you down
shot 2 very nice 🙂
you gave to foreground obj to be very sharp and contrast – cool look, but i think it need a bit more sky colors in shadowsshot 3 – smoke from broken glass? why?, camera movement boring, you trying to make a lot focus games to give tension to shoot- cool, but it annoying and giving feeling that you trying to avoid from me to see how good your work(too long take, must be real cut and change of angle or size of frame), nice interior and broken glass.
Do not get me wrong, you made good and complicated job, good luck in future 🙂 -
