Have I missed something so easy that its driving me crazy. How do you rotate an image on Y axis. Its not in the Transform node and I believe I have tested every other node to get this result. WTH! LOL

Then you want to pipe that through a 3D scanline render node. If you want to rotate multiple objects around the same axis..well you us an axis node heh.
The foundry has simple 3D compositing tutorials in there Manual and on their website.

Hard to believe that there isnt some sort of Transform node that allows you to simply rotate an image on its Y axis.

May 12, 2009 at 3:15 am #217871Martin FurnessParticipantaesnakes you have such a warm personality! I don’t think my comment warranted “yours” Coming from the Flame mentality you would hope it would be such a simple thing to try and figure out if don’t have the “aesnakes” experience using Nuke.
May 12, 2009 at 3:33 am #217875felicity remezaniParticipantWell im sure you had to learn flame somewhere. I would suggest you take my advice and open up the manual. You can find it here http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/dl_file.aspx?ui=5E85EDEE-4E56-4E23-B644-A72D81D84118
Towards the end you will find a tutorial on 3D compositing like a I already mentioned…..unlike some applications it really does has a wealth of knowledge in the help file. Im glad you enjoyed my help but you really didnt read my first post which already states this. Instead you choose to complain that something was too difficult.
Also just to give you another nice tip, if you press tab ovre the node graph and begin typing something you can find any node in nuke. This should help you find the Card, Scanline, and maybe even Scene nodes inside nuke.
In the end im sure you will find it is easier then it sounds and hopefully will appreciate that someone took the time to help you out.

What you’re looking for is the “Card3D” node in the Transform menu (not to be confused with the “Card” node from the Geometry menu).
Ignore the “cam” and “axis” inputs. You don’t need them if you want to do a simple 3D transform like an “image” in Action. (You don’t need a scanlineRender either).
Make sure your output format is set properly, otherwise your image might get cropped.

May 12, 2009 at 4:19 pm #217872Martin FurnessParticipantaesnakes learn the difference between complaining and venting a frustration. These forums are here to get assistance through users of the same craft and to educate eachother. Understand that im not the one who looks like an ass here, if you think someone measures there success by their arrogance then you have just won the Nobel Prize. Take a lesson from Xavier and DG, the answer couldn’t of been more simple than the answer these two have given! Do me a favor, next time you see one of my post, simple just skip over it, there’s no need for ignorance to fill my threads.
