I set up a projection in Nuke and am trying to roto paint in where there is parallax. Does anyone know why my roto paint won’t paint in the spot where it should? When I try and clone it will paint off to the side not were the circle is. I hope that makes sense.

Here is the picture of what I mean, the clone circle is where I’m wanting it and the blurry white line with trees is where it is going.

Any help or suggestions I would really appreciate! Thanks!

You are viewing the image after the projection so the final paint stroke won’t be in the same position on the original plate as it will be after the 3D setup. Nuke isn’t smart enough to show you where the brush should be relative to the 3D setup. It can show you some of the screen controls in the correct position after a 3D operation (like roto splines), but not paint stokes.
