    Hi all,

    New here. I’m having an issue with exported shapes from SFX 4.5.3 to Nuke 6.3v5.

    I pull in my exported splines/shapes (about 20 of them) using the nuke6+ exporter and i immediately get incredible lag in nuke to the point where is unusable?

    I have had MUCH bigger scripts with MANY more roto nodes doing far more complex things with no lag at all.

    My machine is not the problem, its a VFX industry machine with 16gb ram.

    Can anyone offer some wisdom?

    Feel free to email me at;

    Many thanks!

    a) Nuke 7 is not as slow
    b) The Silhouette Nuke exporter has had many new features added to it over the last several months to increase speed and flexibility.

    Specifically, a new exporter feature places the shapes from each layer into its own Nuke node and connects these nodes together in a flow. Nuke is sped up because editing one node contains only the shapes from that Silhouette layer.

    The new exporter is backwards compatible with later version 4 Silhouette.

    Silhouette V5 was released yesterday (btw).

    Disclaimer: I am part of Silhouette.
