    Hi,

Could anyone running Shake 2.5 on Linux comment on the system stability.

    Is it solid?

    Thanks.

    Hi Mario,

I’ll be receiving a copy of it soon and then I’ll be finally able to see how it performs.

I’m happy to hear your positive comments about Shake.

Yes, I worked for Discreet Latin America for 5 years and was based in Rio.

Now I’m in TV Globo working as a VFX Supervisor.

    Where are you based Mario?

    Regards,

    Francisco 😀

    Oi Chico,

Outra alternativa seria o Avid Digital Studio.

    Um abraço
    Mário

    HI!

I’m using Shake on a Dell Dual P4 2Ghz 2GB RAM Gforce Quadro and a IDE RAID with Debian Woody.Last year i was using the same machine on WIN2000.

On linux, a render that in windows takes 20 sec /frame, takes 14 sec/frame, and I don’t remember what is a system crash.

Some problems to configure the wacom 8now working allright) and sometimes I get a “segmentation fault” crash on shake, but I think that is something about using Debian that is not “officially” support by shake (but I love it).

    I hope this help you.

    Sorry about my english .)
